Q) Have you always been a teacher?

Before becoming a teacher I worked in the Chemical Industry for 11 years. I had always wanted to give teaching a try so decided the time was right.

Q) How did you come to teach at Concord College?

I wanted to work at an excellent educational establishment, so when I saw the vacancy at Concord I applied. When I came for my interview, I was amazed at the place!

Q) What would you have been like as a Concord student?

If I'd been a Concord student I would like to have made the most of the extra curricular opportunities available such as D of E. I would also have enjoyed the academic discussion clubs.

Q) What are your favourite classroom experiments?

Making rockets is great fun because of the bangs we create and they make very dynamic lessons.  I enjoy the halogen displacement reactions experiment/practical because the students enjoy the variety of colours and colour changes involved.

Q) What will you miss about Concord?

I will miss the wonderful staff and student community.
