CAMPUS VISITS

We love to see you!

Important information about visiting Campus

What to expect on your Concord trip

If you attended Concord many years ago, you may remember that anyone could walk round campus at any time!

The world has changed, and today all schools and colleges for under-18s take their safeguarding responsibilities very seriously. The penalties for not doing so are severe.

We therefore require all campus visits to be requested well in advance so we can arrange for a member of staff to accompany you throughout your visit.

Please take a look at the information below before requesting a visit, then email Alison Chadwick, our Alumni Officer, on a.chadwick@concordcollege.org.uk.

How to request a campus visit

  • Pre-booked visits are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 5pm. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to accommodate visits on Mondays and Fridays if a member of staff is available to be your host - we will do our best!
  • Unfortunately, weekend visits are rarely possible as duty staff need to be available to students at all times.
  • Please submit a request to visit by emailing alumni@concordcollege.org.uk at least one week beforehand or use the contact form below. This is so we have enough time to organise a staff member to accompany you.
  • Please let us know when you would like to arrive. We ask that visits are limited to a maximum of 2 hours, wherever possible, and all visitors must leave by 5pm to allow staff to go home.
  • Tell us if you would you like to have lunch in the dining room (it is a great way to see your old teachers too).
  • Please tell us your method of transport (car, bus or taxi) so we can notify the security gate. If coming by taxi, please book your return journey before arriving.
  • Let us know if there are any members of staff you would like to see so we can let them know you are coming (some of them have a terrible memory for names!).
  • You must be accompanied by a member of staff except for the sofa area in Main Hall and the dining room if you wish to spend private time with your friends or family.
  • No visitors are allowed into student accommodation at any time.
  • Groups are limited to 8 people and you will be asked to stay together throughout your visit.
  • Email Alison Chadwick, our Alumni Officer, on a.chadwick@concordcollege.org.uk to request a date.
